ATR was founded in 1981 and has become the world leader on the market for regional aircraft with 72 seats or less. It is a pilots aircraft, a versatile workhorse, both fuel and cost effiecient, and an excellent workplace. Since its creation ATR has sold over 1500 aircraft, and recently at the Paris Air Show 46 firm aircraft orders were made and 35 options.
